Step 1 APPLY
Create an account for Outschool. It will first make you a parent account even if you don't have children. Then you click "Teach" and it will take you to the application.
You need to be 18 or older, live in the US/Canada/ UK/ New Zealand or Australia to apply, have experience teaching children, and passion for teaching!
Step 2 APPLICATION VIDEO
Fill out the application and make your application video. Be as detailed as possible! Make sure to search Outschool's class listings to see what is similar to your ideas. This is your INTERVIEW so prepare and show up like it is an interview!
You may email our team your application and video to look at it and give you pointers! ([email protected])
*If you are denied, you can reapply right away once you make changes to your application and/or video.
Step 3 HIRED
If your application passes, you will be asked to submit a background check. This can take hours to weeks depending on if your state works quickly or not.

Step 4 Teacher Profile
Make your teacher profile and complete your training at www.pd.outschool.com
Intro Video
You will then submit an intro video for parents and students to review. Make sure your classroom is set-up when you film your video and you have details about who you will teach and what.

This is a portion that parents and students can read when selecting a teacher, so share the details quickly and efficiently sharing your experience, types of classes & teaching philosophy.

Step 5 Lesson Approval
Create your first lesson and submit it for approval.
